Graphic design major with a focus on functional design. Growing up in Johnson City, TX gave me an appreciation for small-town community and the natural beauty of the Hill Country that continues to influence my work today.
When not in classes, I'm usually found walking around adding to my collection of plant photography and Polaroids. I am constantly on the road finding beautiful wildflower patches or exploring the surrounding small-town markets.
I read whenever I get the chance - currently working through a 7 book fantasy series. My design philosophy is straightforward: visuals should solve problems while looking pretty. This approach has shaped my projects, from redesigning local companies' logos, to creating marketing materials for local businesses, and doing freelance work.
I am active in the campus graphic design group and community, helping organize on campus and off campus workshops for students and the Kerrville community. Planning to intern with local businesses next semester to build my portfolio of purpose-driven work. After graduation, I hope to bring my practical design approach to a creative agency focused on sustainable brands.
